Maybe I should now contact the WWF, just read their latest mag this morning. Is there any hope there? Uma of CAP has not come back to me on what they can do with Sahabat Alam Malaysia. Maybe I should give her a call.
Aug 24th MNS AGAM at Ayer Keroh. I got there from KL in time to meet Nazeri from Miri just before the AGM started. He is a most jovial character, perhaps a bit overweight. Must be not making enough trips out in the field. Noticed also that many council members are suffering from the same. Very fortuitous day indeed. Since I hadnt had lunch yet, decided to pop out for a fast one. There I met ex-chairman Datuk Seri Salleh and his wife. We shared a table and had a good chat. He gave me a couple of ideas and asked me to bring this up with him if he is elected. According to him the best way is to go all the way to the top. But How? Anyway, Datuk Seri eventually won, by a very slim margin I believe. So again maybe this is a very good sign. Must not lose hope. Got o make a few trips to Sarawak. Maybe to see Rebecca whom I just met. Maybe Tony can help too.
My aim in this blog is to record the events I go thru during my mission to launch this animal rescue project at Bakun. It also list down some cases of similar rescues performed elsewhere.
I have not put much info about Bakun Dam because this can be easily downloaded from the net. Once the project takes off a new blog(s) will be created for volunteers and concerned individuals to monitor the progress of the rescue effort.
